Fee $50.00 a session

Jina is currently earning her Master’s of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has previous experience seeing clients struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, loss, trauma, stress, and feeling helpless in life’s challenges.

In Jina’s words:

I believe everyone knows their own story best.  My goal is to meet you where you are and walk with you in exploring what fits best for you.  Sometimes struggles can feel hopeless and isolating, but there is hope. When we are in a place where we cannot see what comes ahead, it can be important to find someone trusted to walk with us in order to open up new possibilities. I am excited for what is ahead, and am encouraged that you have already made the first step in thinking about counselling.  Let us imagine what life can be like and move towards the best version of your story together – one step at a time.

Jina works from a client-centred and systemic perspective.  Her approach integrates emotion-focused therapy (EFT), attachment theory, and narrative therapy. Jina is a kind, grounded and skilled individual who appreciates the powerful interventions of mindful self-compassion. She is passionate about joining others on their journeys towards healing and hope.

Hi, I’m Cecily Carrillo. I am originally from San Diego, California and am finishing my last year in the Master’s of Marriage and Family Therapy program at Trinity Western University. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and theology, and practiced as a certified birth doula for four years.

Life tends to throw us curve balls. I believe the impact of accumulated painful moments from daily living can just as easily cause people to get stuck as a major loss or traumatic experience. Wherever you find yourself on the journey, I am committed to walking alongside you and helping you discover the stuck places that keep you from living out your values and the best version of yourself. My main priority is to create a supportive, nonjudgemental, collaborative space where you can confidently pursue healing and wholeness. I am passionate about empowering others and feel so honoured to get to do this work!

Cecily’s clinical approach is informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy.

Areas of Experience:

Grief, loss, anxiety, depression, personal growth, life transitions, partners of those with sexual addiction-related issues, relationship health, and spiritual wellness.
